Aemilius Papinianus Law School
Aemilius Papinianus (v. 142 - 212), was a famous jurisconsult of ancient Rome, magister libellorum and prefect of the praetorium after the death of Plautian in 205. He is nicknamed "the prince of Roman jurisprudence". More influential than prolific, he is consecrated by the law of citations (principle for determining the law applicable to the settlement of a dispute) as one of the authoritative Roman jurists
